In our Waste Treatment and Environmental Management Centers, we capture and treat gases generated from the organic matter composition of waste, transforming an environmental liability into a potentially useful resource. Biogas, when captured and sent to the purification system, can be transformed into biomethane, or used as an input in the generation of electricity, from a renewable source, contributing to a cleaner energy matrix and significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
